Mustard Seeds

This post is what I shared at church this past week.   A little update on our adoption: We went to Kansas for the birth of the baby that we were matched with last month.  The birth mother decided she would like to parent instead of going through with the adoption plan she had made. Our hearts were broken, but we have come to terms with this change in our plans.  Of course, this is not a change in God's plans at all. Here's what I have shared: Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,  6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,  7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant,  and  being made in the likeness of men.  8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.  9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,  10 so that at the name of Jesus  EV
