Tree Planting Day 1

Yesterday my dad and I went to Lowes and bought 20 Cleveland's Best Trees. I'm not sure if that is the whole name, but it's at least part of it. Supposedly they have the look of Bradford Pears, but are a little bit stronger.

This afternoon we started planting them. :)

We dug five and a half holes and planted five trees. (The half a hole came into play when I mis-measured.)

Guess we'll have to finish this up later. :) Only 15 more to go!
I'm gonna have some real muscles after this project is finished!

"I See You"

A lot has happened in the last few months.  I may post more of an update on that later, but, for your information, we picked up our daughter right before Thanksgiving. As our daughter has grown, my husband has found a sure way to make her giggle that adorable little laugh.    EVERY TIME.    He looks at her and simply says, “I see you!”    I love to hear that little giggle.    It could go on for days.    Matt looks at her and says it.    She giggles.    He pulls back and then leans in again.    He repeats the words.    She giggles.    As I was thinking and contemplating this the other day, it came to me.    That is what every little girl wants – to be seen by her daddy. Waiting through the Night

I'm going through a bible study with a couple of friends.  This bible study led us to Exodus 14, which is where God leads Moses to part the Red Sea for the Israelites to flee from the Egyptians. I love how the Holy Spirit works and draws out different parts of the scriptures at different times in our lives.  Before I began studying, I prayed that God would show me something, that He would meet me right there in His Word. Exodus 14:15-31 (ESV, emphasis mine) 15 The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. 16     Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel    may go through the sea on dry ground. 17 And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that           they shall go in after them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, his chariots, and his           horsemen. ...

Spheres of Influence

This is the lesson that I taught a couple of weeks ago at our women's night at church.  It's the last lesson I'm going to have from the class for awhile, as I am stepping down from the position for awhile. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................... I started out naming some local (and not local) people to see if anyone knew them.  Some of the names only one person knew, some a couple of people knew, and some all of them knew.              Do you guys see a pattern here?  Some of these people, only one person in here knew.  Some of them, a few people might know.  Some of them, just about everyone knows.
