I was tagged by the Three Maidens. :)

Random things:
1. I have two dogs that I love and miss very much when I'm away at school.
2. Two of my best friends live on opposite ends of the country.
3. I have two wonderful church families.
4. I love reading.... just not college textbooks.
5. I enjoy being outside, but I don't go out much because of a "fear"/dislike of bugs and other creepy crawly things.
6. My favorite tv shows are NCIS (the original) and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
7. Pride and Prejudice is my favorite movie (the newer version). The book is amazing as well.
8. Pride and Prejudice also happens to be my sleep/comfort movie.
9. I have moved four times in the last two years.
10. I believe pictures are some of the best presents.
11. Friendship is very important to me.

I would have to say my favorite is Esther.

Dog...all the way.

4.  Would you rather explore a cave or hike a mountain?
Hike a mountain. I'm a bit claustrophobic.
5.  Fiction or non-fiction?
Fiction, except for the bible.
6.  Clothing item of choice: comfortably classy or delightfully dressy?
Comfortably classy.
7.  What is your birthstone?
Saphire. 
8.  Favorite board-game?
Scrabble.
9.  Favorite movie?
Pride and Prejudice.
10.  Algebra or Geometry?  Biology or Chemistry? Algebra and Chemistry.
11.  If you could travel back in time, which era would you choose? Renaissance, Western (early American), Ancient China, etc.? 
I think I would choose the 1920s.

Waiting- Acts 1:1-14

We wait for so many things in this life. We wait for birthdays, Christmas, driver's licenses, high school graduation, college graduation, marriage, kids, retirement. Faith- Hebrews 11 Part 1

It's been a little while, but I got the idea to go through chapter 11 of Hebrews and go a bit in depth on each verse and person mentioned in the chapter. And so because I have some free time for summer I thought I would start. I'm not sure how long it will take or how in depth I may go on different days but I'm going to start.  So here we go... Chapter 11 verse 1 says, "Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen." (HCSB).  Another translation says, "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." (ESV). The King James Version says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Each of these versions uses different words. The English Standard Version uses a word that I wasn't quite sure of the definition so I decided to look it up. Conviction is a sense of guilt and shame leading to repentance. Thanksgiving

So I know that thanksgiving is the topic of the season. Everyone is writing about it. And I haven't written in a while, but that's just it. Thanksgiving is such a big thing, not only because the world makes a big deal about it, but also because GOD makes a big deal about it. We are to bring thanksgiving always to the feet of God. Over and over in His Word, it shows us that we must bring thanksgiving. Psalm 100 says this: "Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
