God's Beauty... From a Unique Perspective

Hello there!

I recently got some pictures printed and I realized the beauty that I had witnessed.

So here it is!

These are some pictures from when I went to Seattle in December.

The above picture was taken out the window of the plane as I was flying back to TN.
The sunset was the most beautiful sunset I'd ever seen.

Here's another picture of the same beautiful sunset, taken a few minutes later.

This picture was taken out of my best friend's back window one morning when it was foggy outside.
I love the way that the fog settled in the trees.
I think it is such a showing of God's art work.

"And God said, 'Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.' And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seen according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:11-12, ESV)

Don't forget, please don't forget, the beauty that God has surrounded us with, whether that be in East Tennessee or Seattle, Washington. Thank Him for it every day.

Thanks for reading.
In God, Emily

  1. What can I do, but thank You? What can I do but give my life to You. A hallelujah, hallelujah!
What can I do but praise You? Everyday make everything I do a hallelujah, a hallelujah. Hallelujah!

Waiting- Acts 1:1-14

We wait for so many things in this life. We wait for birthdays, Christmas, driver's licenses, high school graduation, college graduation, marriage, kids, retirement. As Christians, there is another very important event that we hope and wait for: The return of Christ Jesus our Lord.  One part of Scripture that tells us about His return is Acts 1 (we will focus on verses 1-14). Verse 11 specifically tells us that Jesus will return in the same way He left.  Acts 1:10-11 - "And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, 'Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.'" While we wait, God has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us. When we become Christians, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us, to lead us and guide us through life here on earth. To be baptized with the Holy Spirit (verse 5...

Faith- Hebrews 11 Part 1

It's been a little while, but I got the idea to go through chapter 11 of Hebrews and go a bit in depth on each verse and person mentioned in the chapter. And so because I have some free time for summer I thought I would start. I'm not sure how long it will take or how in depth I may go on different days but I'm going to start.  So here we go... Chapter 11 verse 1 says, "Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen." (HCSB).  Another translation says, "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." (ESV). The King James Version says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Each of these versions uses different words. The English Standard Version uses a word that I wasn't quite sure of the definition so I decided to look it up. Conviction is a sense of guilt and shame leading to repentance. The Hebrew word yakah  ex...

Thanksgiving

So I know that thanksgiving is the topic of the season. Everyone is writing about it. And I haven't written in a while, but that's just it. Thanksgiving is such a big thing, not only because the world makes a big deal about it, but also because GOD makes a big deal about it. We are to bring thanksgiving always to the feet of God. Over and over in His Word, it shows us that we must bring thanksgiving. Psalm 100 says this: "Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations." In all I do, I want to bring praise. I want to bring thanks. "In all that I do...
