Heart to Heart


Today, at my college, there was a chapel convo for us to attend. It was not mandatory, but we do have to go to five per semester. I was not planning on going, but I had a friend invite me to go with her at the last minute. I figured, "Well, I might as well. At least I will have someone to sit with."

I had no idea that God was planning on using the speaker to speak to me about a situation that I am dealing with right now.

The speaker talked about how we need to give back to God the "stuff" in our lives, to dedicate what God has given to us back to Him.

I have been struggling with a decision the last couple of days and I realized that I cannot control the outcome on my own.

I also realized that I had not given my heart completely to God before that moment. I was expecting God to show me what to do in the situation when I had yet to surrender fully to Him.

I realize now that God will lead me and guide me to the right man some day, but first I had to give Him my heart completely.

I cannot wait to see what God is going to work out in this specific situation, if anything. If not, I'm okay with that, because I know that God has something better planned.

But now that He holds my heart, I fully believe He will give it to the man that He has planned from the beginning of time to give it to.

And I cannot wait to see Him work.

    I love this. I had a similar experience earlier this year at our chapel. I didn't want to go, but I felt drawn to go, even though none of my friends went. And boy was I happy I did, God did things in me I wasn't expecting and was so thankful. Happy I'm not the only one this happens to lol

Faith- Hebrews 11 Part 1

It's been a little while, but I got the idea to go through chapter 11 of Hebrews and go a bit in depth on each verse and person mentioned in the chapter. And so because I have some free time for summer I thought I would start. I'm not sure how long it will take or how in depth I may go on different days but I'm going to start.  So here we go... Chapter 11 verse 1 says, "Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen." (HCSB).  Another translation says, "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." (ESV). The King James Version says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Each of these versions uses different words. Thanksgiving

So I know that thanksgiving is the topic of the season. Everyone is writing about it. And I haven't written in a while, but that's just it. Thanksgiving is such a big thing, not only because the world makes a big deal about it, but also because GOD makes a big deal about it. We are to bring thanksgiving always to the feet of God. Over and over in His Word, it shows us that we must bring thanksgiving. Psalm 100 says this: "Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
